Frequently asked questions.
Is this an infusion bar?+
No. Every programme is medically assessed beforehand. It is not about arbitrary vitamin cocktails, but structured programmes with a clear goal. The programmes do not replace necessary diagnostics or medical treatment.
Are the infusion programmes evidence-based?+
The selection is based on known physiological functions, scientifically studied micronutrients and medical judgement. Not all applications are fully validated by large randomised trials — which is why an individual medical assessment and a realistic estimate of the benefit are always made.
How long does an infusion take?+
Depending on the programme, usually around 30 to 60 minutes. Please allow additional time for the initial assessment and consultation.
How often are infusions advisable?+
It depends on the goal. Single infusions or multi-week courses are possible. Skin & Glow or Energy are often planned as a short course, Fertility Support more cycle- or transfer-oriented. Cycle Balance and Endo Relief usually require several infusions.
Is an infusion painful and what side effects are possible?+
Usually only the brief needle insertion is noticeable. Local reactions at the puncture site are possible. Before each treatment, possible risks, intolerances and contraindications are medically assessed and discussed with you.
Can I receive infusions during pregnancy or breastfeeding?+
This is assessed individually by a physician. Not every programme is suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Please actively mention an existing or planned pregnancy during the consultation.
When will I notice an effect?+
This is individual and depends on your starting point, the programme and the frequency. A specific effect or outcome cannot be guaranteed.
Who are the programmes not suitable for?+
Caution applies, among others, with severe kidney or liver disease, relevant allergies or intolerances, and unclarified lipid metabolism disorders (relevant for lipid infusions). An iron infusion is only given after a lab value and medical indication. Final suitability is always assessed case by case.
Do I need a blood test beforehand?+
For the iron infusion, yes — it is given only after a lab value and medical indication. For other programmes, a lab analysis may be advisable or required depending on the situation. Lab analyses are not included in the infusion price.
What does a programme cost in total?+
The prices stated apply per infusion (e.g. from CHF 175; iron infusion from CHF 270). Several infusions are usually necessary. Supplements, lab analyses and additional medical services are not included and are billed separately. The concrete overall scope is discussed transparently before treatment begins.
Are the costs covered by health insurance?+
These are generally self-pay services that are normally not covered by mandatory basic insurance.
Where does the treatment take place and how do I book?+
Treatment takes place at Praxis Dr. Wagner, Spalenvorstadt 3, 4051 Basel. Appointments can be booked online via Doctena or by phone. A medical assessment precedes every treatment.
